Tina sat on a blanket that Maradith had provided when she asked to be left by her sister. Bill and Maradith had tied Wallkery’s hands behind her, making sure that they could rest comfortably at her sides. bill had recounted to Tina the first time he had met Wallkery and the fight that they had.

Tina found it difficult to sit and watch her sister in pain tied up but she didn’t move to change anything. she just sat there and watched her sister sleep, till she herself was taken.

Tina had woken up at the sound of Wallkery’s muffled screech of pain when she first fell. she hadn’t seen her twin in months and as she watched her sister struggle to go nowhere. beast had lain resting on her lap until Wallkery had awakened. as Wallkery fell clutching her chest the dire wolf moved from Tina’s lap.

as Wallkery returned supported by beast Tina stayed sitting, and reaching out she grasped her sister’s hand as soon as they were close enough. Tina sat above her sister a long sharp sword laying across her lap, just above where beast had been. she sat and watched over Wallkery, daring any who stared in challenge.

as she sat waiting for the sun to rise she held the hand of the one who had saved her and looked down at the blade on her lap. this weapon was old, it had seen battel but had stood superior leaving only a chip here and there, it would need to be reshaped soon, but it still held an edge that could cut limp cloth.

Tina continued to look down but not at the sward, instead, she looked at her legs. running her hand across them. she had always loved climbing trees, and walking through the fields. Maradith didn’t know what had caused it or how long it would last, all that they knew was that she couldn’t walk.

Tina sat next to her sister and wondered how she would take it. the last time that Wallkery had found her hurt the prisoner had been beheaded and Wallkery had gone into a rage that had put her in a bed with multiple bones broken.

Tina sat and watched the night end and the dawn come.
