As the cool night air blew by in a never-ending gust, Wallkery’s rage faded into oblivion, the realization that she was falling hit her and she blinked into pain and cold rushing over her, and then nothingness.

Once again Wallkery awoke with her arms unmovable and her head sounding to the steady beat of a drum. The only difference was that this time the pain was not focused, it seemed to be everywhere. Slowly she opened her eyes to find that the pain did not burn, and glancing around she noticed she was in a long room with beds every few feet, the darkness was all but absolute, the silver light seeped in through the makeshift tarp above.

Glancing down she examined herself and found that she could reach her knife that she had strapped to her back. She had put it there as soon as she did not like being tied up. through some miracle, no one had taken it from her. It seemed like hours before the first cord was cut, and the sound was so loud, she feared she would wake everyone in the room.

Finally, the cord was cut from her other hand. Slowly rising from the mat, she felt the all familiar pain in her chest she knew to be her ribs and realized that they were broken. Inch by inch she rose and found that her legs were sore but not in pieces. Stepping forward, she tripped over an invisible root and fell to her knees the pain was overwhelming and she realized that she had a broken arm. the thought hit her like a splash of cold water and she wondered how she hadn’t noticed it before. Working to keep one arm immobile and clutching her chest with the other she rose with pain screaming at her to return to the mat.

As she slowly walked she tried to remember how she had gotten into this situation. The memory of the fight returned to her memory with each step and Wallkery couldn’t help but appreciate the skill that bill had put into his fight, especially taking her sword and sending her off the wall into the water. She shuddered at the memory of her rage and her wish to kill, realizing that it had been her or bill. As soon as she shuddered she heard a soft and calm voice that put her at ease.

“They told me you would not stay still.” The accusing tone and almost laughing tone could belong to only one person. Wallkery turned to look at the mat that was less than an arm’s reach away. There sat her sister in against a pole of the shelter right next to the mat that she had just escaped.

The sight of her other half hit her like a charging bull and she fell, her feet and breath swept away. Breathing took longer than she expected and she eventually realized that she was being supported by a wall of warmth, like a pillow against her uninjured arm. Slowly she had beast help her back to the mat and collapsed in exhaustion. Beast leaned against her and Tina held her hand as she let sleep pull her under.
